External convection – the system of external convection consists of radiators on the body of the device and convection channels located in the smoke collector of the firebox. Which transfer thermal energy to convection flows increasing the efficiency of energy exchange. Convection pipes are designed to improve heat transfer. They pass through the firebox, and are heated by smoke, the air in the room where the fireplace is installed passes through them. The air heats up and moves faster, which creates a convection current.
XFire fireboxes are equipped with a connection unit that allows the use of both top and rear connections, both straight back and at an angle. In addition, the XFire firebox connection unit is equipped with radiator fins that increase heat transfer.
